Yummy Bee

 A cloud kitchen only. Mostly Desserts and a couple of sandwiches.  Mango Tres Leches was really good. Tiramisu was also quite good. Chocolate Marquise is another dessert I would definitely recommend!

Taro

Taro is one of the few Asian cuisine places that offers nice real Asian flavours in their menu! Their Tom Kha soup was really refreshing to begin with – their optimal usage of the coconut milk to get the authentic flavour is perhaps one of the best in the city. We had a platter of Chicken and Veg Dimsums – a total of 6 varieties were served and every single one of them was really good. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the names of these dimsums 😊. For main course, I did the mistake of ordering Singapore Chicken Curry. Mistake not because the taste wasn’t good, but mistake because I forgot that this curry also will be coconut milk based, so it tasted like a repetition of the soup 😊. But all this was made by their superb Pad Thai with egg. Especially, the masterly preparation of the egg was impressive 😊. For the first time, I also got to taste Mocha Ice Cream and came to know how rice paper is used in the preparation of this ice cream!  

SpiceBox Organics

The simple pleasures of life get rekindled here when you have their Vegan Carrot cake. First, the taste of orange zest will hit your taste buds. While you are enjoying that tinge the carrot hits you. And while you are still trying to figure why this tastes so good, the coconut flakes hit your buds! This encore experience cannot be described and can only be experienced. It being a vegan cake, it isn’t heavy on the tummy at all. I had even recommended this to my vegan friends and they were raving about it too. The coffee here also very good (I think also because of the fact that by default they do double shot, therefore making it an ideal mix of milk and coffee!). This place is newly opened in Madhapur and I would definitely recommend this place! They also sell a lot of spices and dals here. 

F-House

I hear Tiramisu and start drooling. And in F-House, when they told us that their dish is called “Pull Me Tiramisu”, in addition to drooling I was also intrigued! So they bring the Tiramisu and then dramatically pull out the plastic casing and then the cream slowly drops onto the plate. And then when you dig in to the dish, you realise the taste is as good as the theater! If you are wondering why I jumped into talking about desserts directly, then it’s my fault only – because I think nothing can beat a great Tiramisu! While we are on desserts, I need to mention about the awesome Rose Tres Leches – this one had the exact proportions of rose and milk flavour that a Tres Leches commands! Our entire group was simply in love with this dessert too.

Let’s now talk about their Starters 😃 – Gun Power Prawns is real crispy yet doesn’t lose out on the prawns flavour or the gun powder flavour. Achari Fish is another tasty spicy starter. But the best one is their Galouti Mushroom! You can actually tell that the mushrooms are of very good quality just by eating this dish – some of us ordered multiple plates of this dish alone! 

Yet another standout dish is their Pizza – both the Veg and Non-veg pizzas were real tasty and had the right amount of spice too. While their Kimchi fried rice was good, I’d definitely recommended their Salmon dish – yet another dish with the right proportion of an awesome sauce, vegetables and Salmon (ofcourse 😉). On the whole, I think F-house scores very strongly on the food and would visit this more. Also, did I tell you their Galouti Mushroom rocks?

Eunoia

 The most interesting dessert I seen here was the coffee crème brulee. Anything coffee and the finger immediately says order! The coffee crème brulee is awesome here. Their Tiramisu also is good but I think this is from the same Desserts & Co that is served at places like Roast and Ci Gusta.

Indulge Ice-creams (At Almond House)

 These ice creams will rank as one of the best in the city! Their Mango Chilly ice cream is simply awesome – you first get the taste of the Mango and then the taste of the chilly hits you. It’s an awesome experience every time you eat a spoonful of this ice-cream! Their coffee ice-cream is also very good. And another superb option is their Lime Gelato – it is so refreshing to the palate that you will go back asking for more!

Their other flavours are equally great too – the various chocolate options; the fresh fruit options (I loved their kala jamun ice-cream); the traditional options (vanilla etc) – all taste awesome. They serve these ice-creams in either cups or jars (depending on the size) and these become very useful in your homes too! If you haven’t gone here yet, find the nearest one and go. Go!

Roast

 Located at a walking distance from office (in Raheja IT park!), we’ve often frequented this place for their coffee and desserts! Fresh brewed hot café latte and cappuccino are real mood lifters here. The pour over and Frenchpress coffees (essentially just coffee without the milk) are also awesome – if you have them after a tired day, all tiredness will be gone 😊. The cold frappes are also quite good here. The desserts at this place are by Dessert & Co. The ice-creams and Gelato here are very (very) good – almost all flavours are repeat-worthy. Specifically, I like their coffee ice-cream a lot. In addition, Tiramisu is awesome too.

Van Lavino

 The place looks imposing! True to how it looks, their food (especially the desserts) are also quite good. The crème brulee, the Tiramisu jar, the many pastries, chocolate éclair, tarts – they are all must try desserts here. We even once took their 1kg Tiramisu cake and absolutely enjoyed it.

The Big Cup Theory

They actually have an impressive menu but both the times I went there, it was at times where we only wanted to have coffee! Their Café Latte was ofcourse good. We tried their Espresso Affogato and liked that too! As backup, we had ordered a Choco Lava cake, but we ended up liking both the coffee and the dessert!

Bakingo

 Another good dessert place, especially pastries. Almost all their pastries are quite good – especially coffee and chocolate pastries. Even the regular pineapple and butterscotch pastries are worth trying. No disappointments at all so far.

Ci Gusta

 This place in Madhapur is very high quality and very tasty place 😊. Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Wings and Lemon Chilly Fish stand out too good here. Their Spicy Grilled chicken sandwich is also very good. However, the best part of this place is their ice creams and other desserts! I think now their desserts are made by Desserts & Co. – nevertheless awesome. Tiramisu, Coffee Sludge, Chocolate Tart were tried and all tasted awesome! You can also pick any ice cream of your choice and will not be disappointed by the quality and taste of it. A must visit place.

Concu

Oh boy! Oh boy, the desserts at this place! Just too good! To start with - The Russian Medovick Cake! Honey, caramel and biscuit. I first saw and had doubts about this combination, but all doubts cleared the moment the first bite went in! Next, the Tiramisu. One of the best we get in Hyderabad. Then there is the Éclair, with custard in it! The cafe latte and cappucino are quite good here and so is their Geisha Tea. This is a very nice place for having desserts, but of course little costly 😊.

Karachi Bakery

One of the best things that Karachi Bakery did was to expand across the city – because of this, we found it easier to get exposed to their awesome variety! Their cakes ofcourse are top-notch. They have fruit custard, English truffle, fruit truffle etc that are quite tasty too. We once tasted their cup-cakes and found them good too. Some of their pastries might not be palatable to a few – like the ones with chocolate overdose, but that is just a matter of opinion J. I haven’t tasted their samosas, burgers yet – sometime soon J. 

Big Byte

In 1996, a friend of mine in Intermediate tells me that he will be treating me that day to a burger! Now, who will even reject that offer. Little did I know that it will be at a place with which I will fall in love with!! After that day, so many of us used to go there (most of the times, at the expense of one person only ;-) ), and this place became a "meeting point" for our gang! Even today, those who come visiting to Hyderabad make it a point to eat there ! Such is our attachment to this place! 

 Well, this being a bakery, you have a host of items on the menu. I will list all my favorites that you should never miss. If you cannot eat them all at one go, go there multiple times! Chicken Bun, Mutton Chop, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Cheese Burger ( with the tomato sauce...mmmmmmmm), Chicken Pizza with Extra Cheese, Veg Roll and of course Thumbs Up/Pepsi along with these! Pineapple and Black Forest pastries are also good here. 13 years from the first time I ate there, this place continues to remain our favorite "meeting place"!
