Flying Sphagetti Monster

One of the best Italian cuisine places in Hyderabad! All their Bruscettas are very nice – I think it’s the sun-dried tomato and olive oil that makes the difference. You should try the ones with brinjal; artichokes; peppers; chicken and for simplicity sakes, just the fresh tomato ones. The names are quite tougue twisting though 😃 – so you should order the Crostini Melanzana if you want to eat the bruschetta with brinjal! Their Broccoli starter is quite tasty and any of their pasta/pizza can be had, depending on what sauce or toppings you will prefer. But what I liked here is their Risotto – especially Risotto Di Pollo. You can’t go to an Italian place and not have Tiramisu. Their Tiramisu is awesome and so is their Panna Cotta!

Sherlock's

I see Jalapeno Chicken Poppers on any menu and I will make sure that it is ordered! Same with this place too – and they don’t disappoint at all. The BBQ Chicken wings were good. Fish Fingers with Tartar sauce also tasted good. We had Lasagne Alle Pollo (Chicken Lasagna) and Risotto – and were not disappointed with them.

Ci Gusta

This place in Madhapur is very high quality and very tasty place 😊. Chicken Parmigiana, Chicken Wings and Lemon Chilly Fish stand out too good here. Their Spicy Grilled chicken sandwich is also very good. However, the best part of this place is their ice creams and other desserts! I think now their desserts are made by Desserts & Co. – nevertheless awesome. Tiramisu, Coffee Sludge, Chocolate Tart were tried and all tasted awesome! You can also pick any ice cream of your choice and will not be disappointed by the quality and taste of it. A must visit place.

Jonathan's Kitchen

The first time we went here, we had a mixed experience. We were a large group and we had the buffet. The starters were not hot enough, and we had to repeatedly ask the folks to heat them up and serve it. They tasted quite good once we got the heated dishes. The main course and salad offerings were well spread and tasty too. The Mediterranean salads, the mutton curries, the vegetable lasagna etc tasted quite good too. We ordered Tiramisu cake at the end, and I must say that it is one of the best I ever had in Hyderabad! The second time also was a large group, for lunch buffet! The restaurant was full, and they were having trouble getting new plates/spoons at their counters. The food experience was quite good though – this time we even had pizzas and we walked out a content lot!

Sheraton

Thanks to some office meetings, I have been here quite a few times for all the three meals of the day! I love their breakfast and lunch buffet options! Both their Indian and Western dishes taste quite good. Their parathas and dosas in the breakfast are quite good. The fresh fruit juices induce some freshness into your day too! They have a good spread of breads and cheese too (And these are not the regular mozzarella stuff we get outside!)

Their lunch options are equally good too. I generally become a fan of buffet the moment I see something like Baba Ganoush and Hummus! Added to this, some nice fish items that satisfy the palette are like an icing on the cake! Speaking of cake, oh boy, their dessert options are also awesome! You must keep some place aside to check out the multitude of options!

Westin - Prego

After hearing a lot about this Italian restaurant in Westin, I finally got a chance to visit this a few weeks back J. They have the typical Italian menu or pizzas and pastas. In addition, they also have the grilled chicken/fish items.

The Pizza with the thin crust was very tasty. The grilled chicken for the main course was also quite tasty – perhaps because of the oil and sauces used. And the bread they serve when we settle down at the table was also very nice J. Since it is Westin, the prices are quite high – but worth going there for a nice Italian lunch.

Little Italy

One of the very few veg only places I have been to J. They have a buffet – ofcourse the menu is Italian. It’s been a while, but I remember liking the food here. We had a mushroom based starter which was quite good. The pizza crusts were good, as were the risotos. I am not a big fan of pasta, so haven’t bothered eating much of it J. The deserts were also quite good. Since it is veg only, haven’t been there ever since!

Via Milano

Another Italian/European food joint. I tried a large piece of Salmon here for the first time – it’s quite difficult to eat that dish, because of some weird taste of the Salmon! The accompaniments and the sauce was good. I tried a portion of the Basa Fish too – that dish was quite tasty. And ofcourse, some pizza and bread J. Overall, it was a good experience, but cost is a little on the higher side.

Over the flames

This place is tucked away under the "More" supermarket on the road from Cyberabad police station towards Gachibowli. Small joint, great Italian food :). Try the "Thyme scented chicken" for starters. When we had this, the chicken was well cooked and the sauce in which it was dipped just melted in the mouth.

For main course, we ate Pizzas and Lasagna. The Lasagna was also good - spicy and tasty to the right extent. We had "grilled paparika chicken pizza" and "chicken arrabbiata pizza". Since this is an Italian food joint, the pizzas were thin crust. In general, I am not a big fan of thin crusts, but these pizzas tasted very good. For sure, we will be going back to this place again (and again!).

Santosh Jubilee

You would expect a restaurant with this name to be serving Continental food, but hold your breath – this one serves Indian, Italian, and Mexican Cuisines!! It serves Inter-Continental food !

There's more to come. This is a only veg restaurant, and also has a bar! Since this is only veg, I have never been here! A colleague however had some very nice words about this place, and am placing them here for reference!

"This is a unique Indian/Italian pure vegetarian restaurant with bar. We tasted the Italian pizza and other starters. Food was very delicious. Lots of variety of veg Indian/Italian and Mexican dishes available here."

Location: Adjacent to Reebok Showroom, Jubilee Hills

Cuisine: Italian/Mexican Vegetarian
