Indu Deluxe

After about 10 years of wanting to eat here, we finally get a chance one day! Indu is famous for it’s meals and no wonder! We ordered chicken fry and mutton fry to go along with their sumptuous meals. Mutton fry was not upto the mark but chicken fry was quite good! There is nothing much to order here – meals + nonveg curry of your choice pretty much sums up the menu here :D

Price: Rs. 250-300 for two
Location: Lakdi-ka-pool (beside Kamat)

Dwaraka Tiffins

We frequent this place only when we go to play tennis, as this is nearer to the stadium.

All tiffins are good, but the best I liked here is the Button Idly. ~10 pieces of small idlis will be put into a bowl full of sambar and given to us. And that is one of the most ideal ways to begin your "food day"! Apart from this, after a veryyy longgg time, I had Paper Dosa here! And as usual, it was very good! Well, Paper Dosa is like any normal dosa, just that it is very long in size! Still, if it doesn't taste good, how can one person contemplate to eat it fully: D! The other regular stuff is also good here, and this is one place where you would surely want to go back.

Location: On Lakdi-ka-pool Main Road Cuisine: Tiffins Cost for two: Rs. 50- 100/-

Fishland

Contrary to what the name suggests, except fish delicacies, everything tastes very good!! Not that the fish is bad, but then chicken and prawn dishes score way more points than fish :) This is also the ideal place for you to eat before watching a movie either in Sensation or Amaravati. For starters, without blinking, you should order the chicken platter. 3 people can easily eat the whole thing, and still have nice main course. After trying a lot of options for main course here, we have zeroed in on the Special Chicken Biryani. This dish is the best in Fishland. We've tried Chinese dishes too, but this special chicken biryani beats all of them! Like all special chicken biryanis in many restaurants, this guy also serves chicken 65 over the biryani, but there is some tinge of something that is added that makes it unique and makes us eat that dish always: D!

Location: Beside Amaravati Theatre, Lakdi-ka-pool Cuisine: Continental No Buffet Cost: Meal for two: Rs. 400 - 500/-
