I don’t know why they put this name but they do slay with their coffee! The coffee is rich and tasty. I am a repeat customer of their Cappucino (courtesy my colleagues!). I’ve seen them enjoy the cold coffee from SLAY too. I’ve had their Americano a couple of times and wasn’t disappointed either. Go slay it!
In Hyderabad, Eat here!
Yi Jing (in ITC Kohenur)
I can never forget one dish here – Steamed Egg Custard with Scallops. The seared scallops, the consume along with the egg custard – was a totally new experience for me and a totally satisfying one. I would go back here just for this one dish. This is not to say their other dishes were not good 😊 – the carrot wasabi dumpling, the noodles with stir fried vegetables, the lotus stem etc were all very good too. The restaurant is often full and it will help to make a reservation and go here.
Harley’s Fine Baking
Fine baking
indeed! Their different Medovik cakes are really a treat to the taste buds. In
addition, their tiramisu and chocolate cakes are awesome too. I think all of
them are eggless too. And since it is fine baking, they are all costly too but
it’s ok to indulge in fine baking some times 😊. The hot cappuccino and cold coffee they make are also very pleasing to the stomach!
Simhapuri Deluxe
This restaurant came highly recommended and I must say it didn’t disappoint at all. Over multiple visits to this place, we got to taste their hot veg meals along with chicken iguru, mutton iguru, prawns iguru and the legendary fish fry! Having these dishes with piping hot white rice releases many happy hormones in your body 😊. We had also tried their Mushroom pulao and Mutton Pulao – and they didn’t disappoint either. Head over there folks, for some real good telugu food!
Nosh Bistro
They have an dish that is interestingly named Pasta in Pasta. Very curious to taste it, I ordered it home – literally expecting pasta in pasta :D. Turns out it is basically three different types of pasta mixed into one awesome tasting dish! I would certainly recommend this for those who like eating pasta. Their Veg Club Sandwich is also quite tasty and would definitely recommend for a repeat order!
Oki Poki
You see the name and go a little hehe 😊. Their food is also as interesting as their name is. Wild Mushroom & Thai Herb flavoured Sushi was quite an unique dish – I’ve never had this kind of flavour and liked it a lot. To be on the safer side, I ordered Steamed Wonton Chicken dumpling too and wasn’t disappointed at all with it! Oki Poki for sure will keep getting more orders 😊.
My Fishing Boat
The location of this eatery is very interesting. It is located under the Hitech City Metro station, just a floor above the pavement! And is also one of the few places that serve proper pan fried fish 😊 – and to top it all, they use the Black Pompret fish (also called Roopchand!) for this fry. The fish fry had the correct spice levels, was cooked perfectly and tasted perfect too! We also ordered some Chinese from here but nothing much to write about those dishes 😊.
The Joint Al Mandi
After having some awesome Mandi food in 4 seasons and Spice 6, I had experience disappointment at many places that claim to serve Mutton Mandi. The mutton pieces are either too small or the rice too heavy. So it was with a bare minimum expectations that I had ordered food from here, only to be pleasantly surprised by the quality of their offerings. The portion size is a little less compared to what 4 seasons offers, but the taste of the mutton is very good here. The meat is perfectly cooked and is quite tender. The Chicken Mandi is also quite good here, but if it’s Mandi it has to be mutton! And the Joint Al Mandi will definitely rank one of the best places offering this.
Ram ki Bandi
One of the legendary places to have breakfast in Hyderabad was Ram ki Bandi. They have now opened branches all over the city. You will know why the fame is well deserved the moment you finish eating one dosa! The spice mix they use (and if you add upma to it) is unique and really gives your taste buds a good experience. I expected their chutney to be a little more tastier but that is just a minor quibble! Enjoy the dosas!
Old Madras Baking Company
One of the rarest places where I ended up not liking anything ☹. With all the hype around this place and the unusual number of recommendations it received, I really had high high hopes. The Madras Filter Coffee was such a major disappointment. Major. The coffee wasn’t strong and definitely tasted more like instant than filter. The three cheese sandwich was so bland, so bland, that am not finding the right words to compare too. The billing was a bit chaotic too. It was then that I read some more reviews and figured out that a new management was in place recently and things were not the same after that. Some old timers were really upset too – and then everything fell in place for my experience!
Indiana Burgers
It was a mixed experience eating from Indiana Burgers. The Bhuna Chicken Diet Roll and Egg & Cheese Diet Roll were actually quite good. Diet roll = whole wheat roll and I think that’s what added to the taste. However, the burger (I ordered Los Pos Hermanos Chicken Burger) wasn’t something to rave about. I think the chicken patty wasn’t as tasty as I thought it will be. Perhaps a couple of orders more and then a better assessment can be made of the burgers!
Haldirams
All your life, you’ve had only their namkeens. Now time to enjoy their equally awesome food too! One of the last places I would have expected a Mysore Masala Dosa to taste awesome is a place with the name Haldirams. It was really a pleasant surprise to have the tasty Mysore Masala Dosa along with their super tasty coconut and tomato chutneys! So I got intrigued and ordered Idli Sambhar – and the sambhar was as authentic as it could get! We had also ordered Veg Biryani and it had the right amount of spices and vegetables that made eating it an awesome experience! This place keeps throwing good surprises with each dish – am getting ready for more surprises! Very strangely though, they do not serve Jain food in their restaurant.
Srinidhi Restaurant
It was one of those when the stomach craved for all kinds of food – the place didn’t matter! And so when Srinidhi Restaurant showed up on Swiggy, I just went about ordering a combination of things – and ended up liking the food very much! Their Manchow soup was the right thing I needed that day! Butter Naan with Egg Burji satisfied the egg cravings of the day. And the Gongura Paneer biryani satisfied the spice cravings for the day!
Roast
Located at a walking distance from office (in Raheja IT park!), we’ve often frequented this place for their coffee and desserts! Fresh brewed hot café latte and cappuccino are real mood lifters here. The pour over and Frenchpress coffees (essentially just coffee without the milk) are also awesome – if you have them after a tired day, all tiredness will be gone 😊. The cold frappes are also quite good here. The desserts at this place are by Dessert & Co. The ice-creams and Gelato here are very (very) good – almost all flavours are repeat-worthy. Specifically, I like their coffee ice-cream a lot. In addition, Tiramisu is awesome too.
Kangan (At The Westin)
Kangan is Westin’s Indian only cuisine place, and is open only for dinner. Have been here a couple of times as part of large office groups and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and the flavour of various dishes they serve as part of their set menu. I first tasted Lobster in Kangan and simply loved the dish (maybe it’s the preparation of Lobster with familiar spices!). Their fish and prawn starters are also very tasty and well made. While Malai Broccoli is good, they had another veg starter – assorted veggies wrapped in Sago (saggubiyyam in telugu) – this was simply awesome. Mutton Rogan Josh with kulchas and naans, and any of their biryanis were also quite good. Ofcourse, this is a costly place 😊 – hence the trip with large office groups only!
A’la Liberty
A veg only place opposite to Hitech city, they actually have a decent buffet to tickle your taste buds! I liked their noodles the best 😊. Their mushroom and paneer starters (that vary depending on the day) are quite tasty. They also used to serve different type of cutlets that are good too. The wet Veg Manchurian goes very well with their noodles.
Flavours of Taj Mahal
One of the most satisfying starters in life are their Fried Idli starter! Irrespective of the time of the day, I’d strongly recommend that you have this dish here. For tiffins, their Set Dosa is quite good. The TMH Cutlet is indeed tasty, as they claim. Poori Kurma is yet another nice dish to have here. While the south Indian thali is good, their assorted roti basket with curries like Methi Chaman and Dal Makhni are preferrable!
Burger Division
They have Onion Rings! And they also have Cole Slaw! If you still need more reasons to go here, then they also serve an awesome Peri Peri Veg burger too! This place certainly looks interesting with their menu choice and therefore more orders are sure to go here!
Potful
Their concept is simple – your dum biryani order is put on the stove in a pot after you place the order. So you actually get it directly delivered with the seal intact on the pot! The aroma of the biryani when you open up the pot is simply awesome and may even half-fill your stomach! I’d have preferred if they had more pieces in both their mutton and chicken biryanis. Especially their mutton biryani had too less pieces and therefore not much of mutton flavour in them.
ITC Kohenur
The breakfast buffet is vast here. Like vast! Plus it’s also good how they spread the space of the buffet, it makes for easy selection of dishes based on the cuisine. All the Indian items in the breakfast were good (Idlis, upma, poori, dosas!). The breads are good; cheese options were good; congee was good; the various fruit options available were also quite good. We also loved the filter coffee they serve, in the filter coffee cups!
