Tibet is on a road that is named “Jai Hind Road” 😊 – some incidences write themselves! We were
driving on this road. We were hungry. And I see this small place that was
giving a very inviting vibe to come and eat! The place is simple. The menu is
also simple. And it is the simple things that taste good. Their steamed and
fried dimsums – both were very very tasty. The Chilly Garlic Fried rice with
Chilly chicken was also very tasty – the place gives you the feel of having
tasty street food quality in a decent setting. It was a nice find 😊.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-62805955503386320002023-06-01T18:25:00.001+05:302023-06-01T18:25:08.761+05:30SLAY Coffee
I don’t know why
they put this name but they do slay with their coffee! The coffee is rich and
tasty. I am a repeat customer of their Cappucino (courtesy my colleagues!). I’ve
seen them enjoy the cold coffee from SLAY too. I’ve had their Americano a
couple of times and wasn’t disappointed either. Go slay it!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-3045862056118690192023-06-01T18:23:00.003+05:302023-06-01T18:23:17.115+05:30Chitti Dosa
Tucked away in
one of the bylanes of KPHB, right opposite to the Indu Fortune Annexe gate,
Chitti Dosa lives up to its name and literally serves chitti (small)
dosas enabling you to eat multiple instead of just one 😊.
Almost all of their dosas are awesome, but if you had to pick then I would recommend
the masala and the upma dosas, at the very least! We also tried Onion Dosa,
Karam Dosa, Chutney Dosa and just the plain dosa – none of them have disappointed!
On a cloudy morning, you should go there and have their piping hot Sambar Idly –
and you will probably end up thanking the chef for the happiness your taste
buds just experienced!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-45223140998889775612023-06-01T18:21:00.004+05:302023-06-01T18:21:25.152+05:30Thyme and Whisk
What a find (patting myself on the back)! This
is a vegetarian only place. The Asparagus nuts soup is very good. The most
heavenly experience though is their – very nicely named - Blue Butterfly Pea
Water Chestnut Cream Cheese dimsum. I don’t know if it is the cream cheese or
the water chestnut or whatever it is they put to make it look blue – but this
dimsum was heavenly! Though their Hot Cow Boy sizzler sounded like an exciting
dish, we ended up ordering the Pattaya Massaman Sizzler and just gobbled up the
whole thing! The sizzler used nice glass noodles and the right amount of vegetables
and spices. The Jalapeno Cheese poppers were also a good appetizer to begin
with.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-41764540702912599002023-06-01T18:18:00.003+05:302023-06-01T18:18:58.995+05:30Mak-o-brew!
What a find
this place has really been! It’s a vegetarian only place; has very good
ambience and has some exceptional coffee options! You must try some of the
options such as Turk Havesi (Coffee with cardamom), Qahwa, Café de Olla
(especially for that tinge of pepper!), Vienna Coffee (for the whipped cream
combo!) and ofcourse the Cappucino 😊. Each of these options will literally leave
a mark on your taste buds. You must have the Tomato Basil Avacado Open Sandwich
while you are here. You must have it. They have Brussel Sprouts too – but not
always. You must try them when they have it. The various Pastas and Noodles are
also quite good here, but I frequent this place just for the coffee!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-47080587540724238632023-06-01T18:16:00.001+05:302023-06-01T18:16:02.459+05:30Gappe-Vappe at Almond House
Oh my my! What
an amazingly amazing place this is. I never tire myself from recommending this
place to almost everyone who wants to eat great chat! Both the taste and the
presentation are a delight. The Pani Puri with three different flavours of pani
– mango, pomogrenate and pudina are superb. The Dahi Puri served on a cart will
cool down all the heat from the Pav Bhaji Fondue! The Dahi papdi or the Dahi
Samosa chat are also very good. Three beans chat is tangy and sweet and
awesome! Oh, I can go on and on! things going in favour of it – location, ambience, menu, and most importantly taste!
This is Asian restaurant and serves a variety of Sushi (until I went here, I
didn’t even know that there are varieties in Sushis depending on how they are wrapped
– Urumaki, Ngiri, Tataki etc!). To uncomplicate things, we just ordered the
Sushi and Dimsum platters, so that we can get to taste a variety of them! I
liked all of the items, avocado, asparagus, chicken, prawns etc! For soup, we
had the Laksa which was really good but the mistake we made for main course was
that we ordered the Singaporean Chicken curry , which basically is very close to
how Laksa tastes (it’s not bad, it’s just that we repeated the same taste!). We
also had just the Edamame (not too many places serve this) and weren’t
disappointed at all!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-79588560609411720902023-06-01T13:31:00.003+05:302023-06-01T13:31:16.636+05:30Hashi
Not to be
confused with Tashi 😊. Hashi is an Asian cuisine restaurant and
true to it’s cuisine, it does offer dishes outside of the traditional Chinese dishes
alone. The Som Tom Salad is a dish that only a handful of places offer and
Hashi is one of them. The salad was not only fresh but created the necessary
impact on the taste buds too! We went ahead and ordered the Assorted Vegetarian
Sushi platter so that we don’t end up missing the key items and loved all the Sushi
that came along. There is really something with eating a Sushi with a little
bit of Wasabi and pickled ginger. I don’t know what it is, but there is
something about it! The chicken Gyoza was also really good. After eating so
much, it is difficult to eat anything main course, but we still went ahead and
ordered the Japanese Golden Curry with Katsu Chicken. It was a very tasty yet light
on the tummy dish! Hashi has so many other offerings and it will take multiple
trips to enjoy these.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-85873314161859064682023-06-01T13:23:00.005+05:302023-06-01T13:23:23.516+05:30Yi Jing (in ITC Kohenur)
I can never forget

satisfying one. I would go back here just for this one dish. This is not to say
their other dishes were not good 😊 – the carrot wasabi dumpling, the noodles

the other options they have available.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-24762354080213421982023-06-01T11:27:00.001+05:302023-06-01T11:27:15.781+05:30100N
There are many

after the concept at Taaza kitchen, the best thing about Swach is it’s
ambience. You can stand and eat, sit casual on a bench and eat; or sit properly
at a table and eat! Their food is not exceptional though. They have too many
counters (for Poori, for Dosa, for Idli, for beverages etc). I was reminded of
Swathi tiffins in Somajiguda that has one counter for all and yet does a fantastic
job at delivering! The green coconut chutney is good; the poori is also good.
The dosa was underwhelming though. Not a place that I would frequent.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-51493209184461090912023-06-01T11:20:00.001+05:302023-06-01T11:20:06.971+05:30Krishnapatnam
True to their
name, they offer many telugu cuisine dishes. The Gongura Mutton curry, Kamju

along with white rice is yet another combination that must be tried here. I am
not a curd-loving person but I heard that the curd rice is also quite good
here, after all that spicy stuff you just had! This place is often quite full,
no wonder!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-23862424798990776722023-06-01T11:17:00.001+05:302023-06-01T11:17:08.063+05:30Turqoise at Le Meridien
Very few
people may get this, but our group works on something called XO in our day-to-day

at Le Meridien’s widespread buffet 😊. The dessert offerings, especially the
different Gatuex were quite good at this place. While the European main course
was good, it was the chat items in the Indian cuisine that stood out.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-44876253645214126452023-06-01T11:06:00.006+05:302023-06-01T11:06:36.549+05:30Renao Café & Bistro
This place is
right next to Palamuru Grill and despite seeing that on every visit to Palamuru
Grill, it took many years to visit this place! Should have visited this place
much earlier. Both the food and the ambience of this place are very good. We
were a group of 4 and we ended up playing Scrabble while enjoying their various
food offerings. They have a pizza called Seven Heaven – seven different types
of cheese on the pizza. For a cheese lover like me, this is truly heaven
indeed! The pizza tasted awesome as expected because all cheeses used were
authentic. The Som Tom Salad is not a dish that many places prepare in
Hyderabad. This salad was a good dish here. The Laksa soup was also nice with both
the coconut flavour and spices tickling your taste buds! Both the Gyoza and
steamed dimsums, veg and non-veg, were very nice. The Water chestnuts in Hunan
sauce could have tasted better though. And not to forget, their French Fries tasted
quite good too! Overall, it was a great experience eating and playing at Renao!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-19823598354930056042023-06-01T11:05:00.000+05:302023-06-01T11:05:00.474+05:30Maaredumilli
The hype
around the ambience is all negated by the unbelievably long time they take to deliver
your food. They actually seem to be very proud of the fact that any dish that
you order will take a minimum of 45 minutes to come. You actually end up
waiting atleast an hour before food is on your table. This place is basically a
re-hash of the failed experiment of Kuchipudi Kitchen, where your biryani is
put on the stove after you place the order and the pressure cooker is directly
bought to your table. Confusion often prevails if you order different types of
pulaos. The theme has nothing to do with the menu that is offered too. Not going
back here 😊.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-26823423689394497652023-06-01T11:03:00.004+05:302023-06-01T11:03:40.810+05:30True Black Coffee
Returning from
a wedding one night at Kompally and desperate to have coffee, we found this small
place called True Black Coffee! One of their most striking aspects is their cup
😊 – it doesn’t have a handle and the
experience of holding it with both hands and slowly sipping the piping hot Pour
Over is a good one! They have coffee from different estates in India – we had
the Ratnagiri one which they said may feel like pineapple! For one of us, they
were able to feel the pineapple flavour – the others felt berry. All of us
liked the coffee a lot though. They have another variety called Unnaki Agni,
which is also quite good to have on a rainy evening! The Cappuccino itself is also very pleasing to the soul! If you are a fan of avocado,
then their Avacado toast is a must have along with all these piping hot coffee
options.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-67270777301114782102023-06-01T11:01:00.001+05:302023-06-01T11:01:10.156+05:30Rajamundry Ruchulu
This restaurant
came up at a place where far too many shops or restaurants closed earlier! However,
Rajahmundry Ruchulu seemed to have clicked well, going by how people are
flocking it for their curry combos! You have the option of choosing 3, 6 or 9
curry combo along with their Bagara rice or white rice. The Bagara rice has a
good coconut flavour to it, typical of Rajamundry 😊. Chicken, Natu Kodi, and Mutton curries are really good here. This is comfort food that is equally tasty. They also have the famous
Rajamundry Rose Milk on their menu!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-30057435090932645612023-06-01T10:58:00.003+05:302023-06-01T10:58:40.703+05:30The Spicy Venue
The famed MLA
Potlam Biryani is from this place! The presentation lives up true to it’s name.
Potlam means packet – this is prawns biryani wrapped in a packet (potlam) of omlette
😊. The taste was good but certainly not
exceptional. What is exceptional here though is their Palleturi Kodi Pulao
(Village Style). The chitti mutyala rice, the stock used to cook it, the many
chicken pieces in it – all of it makes for some great eating experience. There is also another dish you must definitely try here
– the avakaya chicken biryani! It's simply unbelievable how good the combination of avakaya and chicken tastes!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-6860641449264598452023-06-01T10:53:00.009+05:302023-06-01T10:53:54.750+05:30Harley’s Fine Baking
Fine baking
indeed! Their different Medovik cakes are really a treat to the taste buds. In
addition, their tiramisu and chocolate cakes are awesome too. I think all of
them are eggless too. And since it is fine baking, they are all costly too but
it’s ok to indulge in fine baking some times 😊. The hot cappuccino and cold coffee they make are also very pleasing to the stomach!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-43175705018260263322023-05-31T21:29:00.002+05:302023-05-31T21:29:13.437+05:30Simhapuri Deluxe
This restaurant
came highly recommended and I must say it didn’t disappoint at all. Over multiple
visits to this place, we got to taste their hot veg meals along with chicken iguru,
mutton iguru, prawns iguru and the legendary fish fry! Having these dishes with
piping hot white rice releases many happy hormones in your body 😊.
We had also tried their Mushroom pulao and Mutton Pulao – and they didn’t
disappoint either. Head over there folks, for some real good telugu food!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-67375849924366848092023-05-31T21:27:00.003+05:302023-05-31T21:27:17.033+05:30Last Coffee House (by the lake)
This is the
last house in a street that is the by the lake and perhaps that’s why the name
Last Coffee House 😊. The location is not their only selling
point. They actually have coffee beans from different estates in India (not all
of them will be available on a given day though). I liked their medium roast (both
the Riverside and Ben’s Brew) better than their dark roast (named Valley) when
I had the pour-overs for these three. Both their hot cappuccino and cold coffee
are also quite good. I haven’t had any food here so far. Next time!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-5276970359694358132023-05-31T21:25:00.006+05:302023-05-31T21:25:41.661+05:30Sri Vyshnavi
Every single
item is very spicy here. Good spicy I mean. They offer the small prawns curry
that is not offered at many places in the city. And it’s really awesome to have
with plain white rice (+rasam if you want!). Their mixed non veg pulao is also
a test to your taste buds when it comes to spice 😊. The mutton curry and the fish pulusu are
also quite good. However, the best dish according to me is their pachi pulusu !
Perhaps because of the relief it brings after all the spicy stuff. This is only
a curry take away point and not a dine-in place, in KPHB.

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2832787577299632227.post-3707274411650604672023-05-31T21:19:00.002+05:302023-05-31T21:19:17.502+05:30Nosh Bistro
They have an
dish that is interestingly named Pasta in Pasta. Very curious to taste it, I
ordered it home – literally expecting pasta in pasta :D. Turns out it is
basically three different types of pasta mixed into one awesome tasting dish! I
would certainly recommend this for those who like eating pasta. Their Veg Club
Sandwich is also quite tasty and would definitely recommend for a repeat order!

Sudhirhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01632812250837859508noreply@blogger.com0
