Was writing something in the morning, and then the following struck to me.
When Natwar Singh was sacked as the External Affairs Minister, the Prime Minister kept the protfolio with him for about an year. In this era of globalisation, India was without a full time External Affairs Minister for a full year! And then the ministry was given to the fall back guy of the cabinet - Pranab Mukherjee.
Shibu Soren had to go as Coal Minister, and that ministry is with the Prime Minister for over an year now! So is the case with Information and Broadcasting.
And now, the Finance Ministry too!! I mean, seriously, all the ministrie I mentioned need full time ministers as their head. They are too big to be handled by a part timer, in this case the Prime Minister!
I mean, are we seriously facing such a crisis that we cannot find ONE person to be the finance minister? Is there really NOBODY in the country to lead that department??
