This is a yummy Punjabi place 😊. The exotic named dish “Ghar wala chicken” tastes close to what you make at home. I like the concept of Patiala chicken in some of the Punjabi restaurants, where they wrap chicken in an omlette. Patiala chicken is good here. What’s a Punjabi place without parathas – Plain tawa paratha, Lachha paratha and Gobi Paratha were good.

Punjabi Paratha House
To order from here is very simple because the menu is simple 😊. I liked the Gobi, Alu and plain lachcha paratha from here. I didn’t like the mooli paratha much.
Paratha Experiment
True to their name, they have many experimental parathas! I had their Cheese Jalapeno Paratha and liked it a lottttt. Maybe also because it has some of my favorite elements – cheese, Jalapeno and Wheat! Whatever it is, it was very nice 😊. When I was ordering for the first time, I also ordered a Gobi Paratha as a backup incase the experiment fails. It turned out that their Gobi Paratha was not very good as compared the Cheese Jalapeno. Lesson learnt – try more experiments than the regular ones 😊. By the way, you should also try their Walnut Brownie. You can thank my wife later!

Punjabi Affair
Located on the busy Madhapur Road, this place serves good Punjabi food. Ofcourse, the parathas! They are quite big in size, and are more than filling. We had both the Alu and Gobi Parathas. Also tried the Fried rice along with Butter chicken - a variety combination but was quite tasty.
They also this nice dish called Patiala Chicken. Basically chicken wrapped in an egg omlette! Quite tasty, and I have ordered it quite a few times.
Bliss Punjabi Paratha
Needs Dhaba
Which fool will walk into a Punjabi hotel and just order Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken 65? Yours truly :D :D ... but boy I don't have any regrets for doing so! I have heard so much about this place, located in Kundanbagh, Begumpet (beside the lane of Lifestyle building) that I really did not know what to order to take back home. First I thought, will take naan and butter chicken but was really not in a mood to eat them that day. Hence the wierd order, but believe me, it was worth it. For sure am going back to this place to have more!

Punjabi by nature
ok.. i am changing my review! I went to the place today (March4, 2010) and they now a buffet in place, and it is just too good! 2 non-veg starters (both were super) one non-veg soup, 3 non-veg main course items are more than what you'd expect! The veg spread was also very good, I gathered from my colleagues. And believe it or not, all this for Rs.250/-! I'd strongly recommend this place now :) Ignore my previous review written below!
Don't go here! This place is costly and is NOT even close to being Punjabi by nature! We went there only once, and were so disappointed that we decided not to go back again. Chicken Biryani costs Rs. 395/- there! Almost every curry costs Rs.350-400/- and the taste is not even half worth the price! Even the ambience of this place is not even close to being Punjabi by nature! It is very safe to avoid this place.

If you are one of those who are particular about ambience, read no further! If you are one of those who are particular about taste of food, visit this place ASAP! There are no airs about this place. We have to just go and grab the next available seat. This one time, 3 guys were just standing right beside our table waiting for us to get done! I think it's been about 10 years since we started to go this place, and never once have we thought of stopping to go there! There are no soups and starters that we need to bother about here. Order rotis/naans with Kheema fry, butter chicken, tandoori fry and after that apetitite is satisfied, order the Chicken Biryani. This Biryani has a unique taste, which I did not find anywhere else in the city. Speaking of unique, here's something you should insist on eating in large quantities while you are there. He serves very unique chutney along with onions! That chutney not only goes well with the onions, but with the roti/naan and biryani too! You will not get such a chutney anywhere else J. End your meal perfectly by having their Lassi! So next time you are anywhere near Abids, you know where to go and eat!
Location: Take right turn as after you cross R.S.Bros shopping complex in Abids. 200-300 metres into the lane, you will see Santosh Dhaba onto your right side. Right opposite to that is Papaji ka Dhaba! Cuisine: Punjabi No Buffet Cost: Meal for 2: Rs. 250-300 /-
Punjab ki Rasoi
This being close to office, we used to order a lot of starters from this place. And I also went to lunches here with other friends. This is not the truly Punjabi ambience restaurant, but the food is good here. Chicken 65, Pepper Chicken, Tandoori Chicken are all good options to have as starters. Ohh, don't forget to eat the papad they give along with the mint chutney, it's awesome J
For main course, I never like the biryani option here. Naan/Roti along with Butter Chicken or Chicken Tikka Masala, Jeera rice along with mutton rogan josh are good to eat.
This restaurant is quite reasonable in its rates, and is quick in service too. It is indeed a nice place to occasionaly eat lightly!
